Write an Article For the Cat Community

Do you have a flair for writing and love cats?

 

We want Louandelcats Community to be the centre of advice, knowledge and support for all cat Lovers. So we are looking for people who wish to share thier skills, experiences and knowledge of the Feline world. Fancy yourself as a bit of a Dickens or a Shakespeare and are pretty hot on the old keyboard? Give it a go! We are looking for ten articles.

 

What should an article be like?

All articles should be:

  • 350-500 words in length
  • On the subject of cats
  • Must not be advertising a commercial product
  • Subject can be anything you feel other cat owners would feel interesting or enlightening.
  • It can be in the form of a short snapshot biography (i.e. how living with your cat has helped you gain insight into good care)

IMPORTANT** To enter you must use this form

Possible subjects maybe: Breeding cats; keeping house cats; A day in the life of my cat; Caring for kittens; volunteering at an animal shelter; Feline gestation; The older cat; my pedigree cat; grooming; behaviour; daily care; territories; fighting; rescue cats; feeding; cats and other members of the family etc etc.

How will the Article be presented?

Each article published on the site will remain the copyright of the author. By offering it to The Cat Community you are allowing it to be edited so it can have graphics added and fit the layout of the web page. Each article will have a small photograph of the author (To be provided) a very short blog; and a link to a web site if you have one. Once published it can only be taken down at the Cat Community administrators discretion.The article will not be published anywhere else except this web site without prior directive from the author. The article should be all the authors own work.

Criteria

You must be a member of Cat Chat. You should be over the age of 16. And preferably you should have a flair for writing. You need to provide an e mail address so we can contact you if you are accepted. The article must be sent in by the form provided below.

How do I enter?

We recommend you write your article out in draft on a word document and then copy and paste it into the form. Click here to fill in the form.

How Will I know if I have been accepted?
