Louie and Ellie

Postby Pass Cat » Thu Feb 04, 2010 8:56 pm

Lou and El continue to rule the household and it now looks to me as if ellie is more the dominant cat. she has first refusal of the fire, and the high shelves in the house. Lou is always first for food but I think thats more to do with her ladyship bothering with food. However, she does look as if shes put on weight in the picture!

When i told my friends at work i was buying the cats a play station, they looked at me as if I was mad. "Cats cant use play stations. they dont have opposable thumbs do they?" hilarious. Visions of Ellie sitting playing World of Warcraft in front of the telly!

No a play station...we dont know what else to call it. Its a bunch of scratching posts all linked together. We've had them a long time. But this one is six foot high and kind of takes over the room. We saw it at a recent cat show and thought Louie and ellie have got to have that. Louie is a somali and apparently they love to climb so its perfect.

However as you can imagine there is only one "turret"....and there are two cats....

Wow that is great Nick,I bet it cost an arm and a leg though, but I am sure they are worth it and will enjoy every minute of it.

Yeah they do val. Bren and I find it interesting watching them. i am beginning to learn the psychology of the cat. It seems cats dont only have geographical boundaries around their territories but time boundaries as well.
Now the fighting for the turret has died down they seem to have come to a comprimise. Louie has the turret during the day, Ellie has it in the early to mid evening and Lou has it late evening and throught he night.
Thats the way it always is now.
Louie will be pacing up and down of an evening instead of trying a coup:)

well, at least the furs stopped flying:)
