Two Abandoned Kittens

Postby LadyBird » Thu Jun 11, 2009 12:50 pm

A couple of friends of ours, yesterday, begged us to take in two weeny kittens, that had been abandoned. They are no more than two weeks old. One tabby and one black. Such tiny little things.

Our last kitten ,we hand reared,so are hoping these two will make,it. But both are very weak....

My husband was up three times in the night feeding them. I get the day duty!!!

Hi Nick

I expect we shall, don't you?? No more dogs though, thats definate after the attack on my Minnie! We shall just stick with the ones we have, who are no threat to our cats.

Yes people do take on rescued cats, but they are usually Brits, that live here. Infact a some very good friends of ours, have 16 I think,at last count. These two kittens were put under their gate, and as you know its a very difficult and time consuming task, hand rearing,so they asked us to take them. Our last kitten we hand reared succesfully,so we are hoping these two will make it.

I will keep you posted as to their well being.

Val

The kittens are now about about eight weeks old and are doing just fine. They are still quite small, but are now weaned so hopefully will soon catch up. They are little time wasters, but I love 'em xx :D

I thought it was time I told you about the kittens(that are no longer kittens) If you remember Tiggy and Miccia were abandoned at just a couple of weeks old.We were at the time ,unsure if they would survive. Just a short while after taking them,my husband found another kitten on the side of the road, and of course he bought him home,we think he is about a month younger than the other two.So Wilfie,Tiggy and Miccia became part of our ever increasing family. We now have 7 cats and 21 dogs

Wow arent they fantastic. They look as if they all have different charecters.
wilfie likes his home comfort, Miccia, a dignified queen and
Tiggy a bit of a hunter and wide boy.
